Any form of surveillance used by any government will be used primarily for political reasons, against non-criminals. There is no such thing as Good Spyware.
The original title is way more misleading. I thought this was a good balance between not modifying title too much, and mentioning Israel’s NSO Group and the infamous name Pegasus.
