Microsoft built the encryption in Windows so know how to get around it. In theory that remains a closely guarded secret but there are the warrants and the NSA and…

That’s basically what I thought when I saw this - there’s no way anything is happening that quickly, this is just outputting “done!” over and over.

I assume they meant sonar

I don’t disagree, but the article also mentioned that they’ve already sold their first commercial deployment so I don’t think it’s entirely vaporware…?

But that would never happen because, you know, money.

Sometimes devs are pretty good at their games. Other times, they bring QA who are typically really good at their games.

Isn’t that arguably the nature of encryption, though? If you lose the key, you’re SOL by design.

John Oliver did a segment on this about a month ago, but yeah, you just nailed it.

Came here to say the King’s Quest games, but really it’s any of the _ Quest titles.

Is it a solar panel…?

I can’t imagine so, they’re only just now prepping the first pixel phone on their own in-house CPU (pixel 10) and development is underway for the following generation (pixel 11). To axe the line now would be crazy.

Activision Blizzard
I think the MSFT buyout eliminated their stake in ABK?

If I say “no,” does that mean yes?
I am the terror that flaps in the night…

I set up a test rig with Fedora to see how the gaming went and didn’t have any issues with Steam or a handful of AAA games. Of note though, my test machine has an AMD GPU so I didn’t have to deal with any Nvidia driver shenanigans.

Not OP, but pretty sure JP = Justice of the Peace

I feel like it’s pretty clear:
I’m in my early 40s in the US. I learned to drive a manual when I got my license ~25 years ago but haven’t driven one since that day. I rode a motorcycle for a few years as well, so I’m pretty sure I could manage if I absolutely had to.
IIS. So so so much IIS.
