trump is definitely an extreme case, one who should never have gotten anywhere near the position he is in now.

the usa has been war on earth for many decades, the people are why.

I’m happy enough with lineageos for now, I just see the possibility/probability of heading towards a non smart phone due to a fascist government… and because I am not that phone orientated anyway.

Beer and lemonade = a ‘shandy’ here

They already existed, no idea how many of them can be flashed to lineageos though. Not sure why someone would want a physical keyboard either, no doubt there is a reason though.
I think a lot of people are put off by flashing their own phone, so providing the option to purchase this already degoogled would be nice.
I’m more interested in a non-smart phone that still has an on screen keyboard, they seem a bit rarer.

What is the advantage of this over just taking a phone and installing lineageos on it?
The kickstarter suggests that the phone comes all googly as default

There are good people everywhere, somewhere like the usa would have always been a problem for them, now even more so. I would assume leaving by land, is easier than air? I do not live there though, so have no idea what the land border situation is now. It is still a question of having the finances and somewhere to live when you get to the other side.
Internally the democrats are no doubt the lesser evil, especially when compared to trump. Long term the people of the usa really need to kick them both out.
Internationally the usa is war on earth either way.

No one is forced to travel to the usa. If the usa were boycotted as it needs to be, no employer would be sending staff there, and no staff can be sent there is everyone refuses.
People need to stop making excuses
“all for a protest” …protesting the evil empire seems kid of important, it’s not like the people of the usa want their country to be anything aside from evil, they just keep waving flags for red evil, and for blue evil. The rest of the world needs to shut that shit down.
OP probably needs to look at a burner phone, and would also need to put some ‘i love trump’, ‘blow up the world’, or ‘usa for pedophiles’ posts on it just to be on the safe side.

If the usa is your starting point, then stay there.

I assumed so, world wide web though.

The usa should be completely boycotted.
Flight staff are obviously a very fringe example that you have chosen while trying to make a point. Even they would not have to deal with that mess, and would not be supporting it, if the rest of the world stopped travelling to the usa.
Decent people = a decent planet.

Rule #1 Don’t travel to the usa

desktop environments can be configured to appear differently, ie: taskbars (panels) can be moved to the top, bottom, side etc, but if you want an apple feel, gnome is probably your best bet.
as an example, the ubuntu default desktop environment is gnome
but you can also get:
kubuntu which uses kde plasma desktop environment
xubuntu which uses the Xfce desktop environment
lubuntu which used LXQt desktop environment
ubuntu budgie
ubuntu cinnamon
ubuntu mate
etc
The majority of distros will allow you to download an installer for a few different desktop environment versions. Some other distros let you choose the desktop environment during the installation process.

Mint can be horrible on newer systems, because mint is backwards.
My 1st ever install of linux was on a mini pc with an amd 5700U apu. It was a disaster with massive, very dramatic visual and audio issues.
I went on to distrohop approx 30 other distros, not a single one of them replicated the mint issues.

The DE (desktop environment) is what you interact with.
2 of the most popular: gnome = apple kde plasma = windows
There are other desktop environments as well.

Nothing should be reposted from twitter, nazis are fertiliser, they serve no other purpose.

I had debian installed as a back up distro on 2 computers due to it not be corrupted like fedora, and ubuntu. It installed easily on the amd system, as expected. I ended up using a script to instal it on the intel (with integrated graphics) and nvidia system. It just didn’t want to play nice.
Then debian decided to hold a vote with 20 different options… all of them including debian going ai
Now debian has gone bye-bye
You enjoy your awesome though :P

unless your cpu etc is new, then mint is the worst advice you will ever receive (been there)

Each unto their own, but I would never mix those 3 together…
Why didn’t you call it Starchy?
