Cybersecurity and “stopping hackers” are very extensive and complex topics. It’s kinda like a mix of many areas of knowledge (software, hardware, coding, internet of things, etc…)
So one advice I think I can give you is that there is a “tool” of hacking that is often overlooked: Social Engineering.

Text editors are bloat, I only use punch cards

Nice to know you’re enjoying Linux :P
I think that later on in your adventure, you’ll notice that you don’t actually need a distro that’s hard to maintain in order to do the hardcore stuff.
Going back to more tame distros (Mint, Debian, Fedora, Solus) may actually suit you better, even for said tasks.

Hmm, I personally place Nix at the same level as Arch, because I see both distros being hard to get into because of how different they do stuff when compared to the average OS.
Maybe the real level up is trying to run BSD on unsupported hardware?

I thought the “hardcorer” alternative to Arch was LFS

“In My Head” is also a certified banger from them

Megaman X9, pleaaaase!! 🥺

I haven’t tried it personally, but there is a Linux software called QMMP, which is kinda like a winamp clone.
Maybe it has compatibility with said formats?
haven’t beaten Heart Star yet (mostly for being lazy) but I loved the game! thanks for recommending
It’s a fair take, but even still, someone who goes out of their way to get to fdroid and install Fennec should very well be aware of alternatives to Google.
An argument that discards knowledge as a factor only makes sense to me in a context of a tech illiterate installing Firefox directly from the Play Store.
Also, from my own knowledge (correct me if I’m wrong) the point of Fennec is to be as FOSS as possible, and not to have all the provacy-oriented defaults, if that were the case, I presume it would come with uBlock preinstalled, for example.
It’s also worth mentioning that Fennec never changes what defaults you set with updates (at least in my personal experience, would like to hear if anyone had a different story) EDIT my own default settings was changed to Google later that day. So can’t argue on that 😂
I know Google is bad and all, but in the case of Fennec, is it really that big of a deal? I say that because someone who knows how to get Fennec on their phones will also be aware on what search engine they use, so it’s not like the maintainer is advertising Google or anything IMO
Alternatively, you could try to install a GSI instead of a fully custom built ROM, that’s how I got a custom rom back when I had a Samsung A03 Core. But even then, the way android is locked down on each device along the absurdly short support Motorola offers is really infuriating.
I daily drive a moto g14 for about a year now. A rather basic phone, but thankfully still didnt have any software related issues yet :P hope motorola gives some care to your model tho
The reason why I stick with motorola is because the Android they ship is the closest to pure AOSP. (From what’s avaiable in my country)

Is it avaiable on debian repos?

I got the icons and themes directly from a Mint install on another machine (cause I couldnt find these online) 😁

Not sure, but this one is a 2007 piece of art

Actually… You’re right about the 21st century lmao. I just wanted an excuse to quote Metal Gear Solid
Also, the issue is not ram itself, of course, 2GB is enough for lots of fun on Linux, it’s the CPU that’s killing me
Most of these points are fair, but… wine is not an emulator!
