It’s not open source at all. But I wanted to mention I find yandex board to be much better than gboard. Swipe works well, speech to text is reliable (unlike gboard for me), and it has a nice long clipboard history.
I could be wrong but I think that on wordpress.com plugins are usually limited. But now that this plugin is part of the Wordpress company it’s getting first party support.
TIL there is a nice 3rd party MacOS client https://github.com/sannidhyaroy/Soduto
Looks like it’s also done for ARM. https://twitter.com/FFmpeg/status/1710970016777052326
Probably on their mailing list or irc http://ffmpeg.org/contact.html
idk but somehow popular enough that the today show picked up on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P2A_eh0h58
Just to piggy back on here Every Door (https://every-door.app/) is so awesome if you wanna add/update shops and other small points of interest on the go. Highly recommend it.
It’s useful to now that to detect the most climate vulnerable poles (wood) in the country.
According to https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/issues/187
Is there somewhere we can document that these sites are automatically updated now?
PS: The documentation site doesn’t seem to be auto updating because stuff from yesterday still isn’t showing in the live version for me.
In this screenshot https://i.stack.imgur.com/uBjDT.png it says “include in home page” and under that there are three checkboxes.
When those are checked the sidebar of the repo shows those things.
Anyway thanks for making the changes :)
@nutomic@lemmy.ml small recommendations for these two repos:
Configure the github repo description to:
All can be done with a few small clicks like seen here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/71247647/620699
Mac users can now capture video from their cameras in all supported native resolutions. This enables resolutions higher than 1280x720.
Nice!
Most recent coding open source work was for OpenLibrary.org, which is a super inviting place to jump in and contribute.
But I have been maintaining my awesome list about social enterprises: https://github.com/RayBB/awesome-social-enterprise
I also started a community here for it: https://lemmy.ml/c/socialenterprise
I don’t think they’re like some grand solution or something but I like the way they move us (less dependence on the rich donating money and more emphasis on helping the community). That being said, there is a lot of “green washing” type organizations that try to use the label without living up to it.
You’re automatically made a mod. I think you can set other people to be mods. But I don’t know exactly what happens if you don’t moderate it closely. Maybe the admins just appoint another mod.
lemmy.ml is currently a bit slow due to the influx of new users. Maybe try again in a little while. https://lemmy.ml/post/1147770
I use the desktop site and created it via https://lemmy.ml/create_community
I joined like a year or so ago when I first heard about Lemmy. I haven’t been too active but the nice UI and pretty interesting posts keep me coming back.
Recently decided to create two communities for things I’m interested in:
I didn’t even know there was an option to set language in the settings. Might be nice to add a tooltip for that when someone doesn’t have a language set.
I was writing that message quickly last night. I meant that Yandex Keyboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.androidkeyboard) is not open source. I know FlorisBoard is :)
