If kernel updates can break the Broadcom driver try using the lts kernels instead.

3·8 months agoYou can enable modernbindings in nano to get standard shortcuts like ctrl-s for save.
Even with a rolling release distribution like arch you can use the linux-lts package instead of the normal linux package to get the longterm support kernels.
