I mostly use vinegar for that reason. I had a 20 gal of 70% ish vinegar that I was diluting for a long time but I can’t seem to source that any more so I have to get the standard jugs and just use the diluted paa when I run out and don’t feel like going to the store.

yeah its pretty great. things that don’t get damaged I’ll also spin them in it while full of vinegar water or the sanitizer and I dont have to keep buying paper towel or laundering towels. works obviously for salad but anything that fits will get mostly dried even if it has lots of bumps and crevices. I’ve done everything from leaves to fruits to potatoes and ginger. its basically that theme park ride that spins and you get stuck to the wall but its a grate so liquid goes through and pools under the basket.

I rinse everything then let it float in diluted vinegar for a bit then dry it in the salad spinner before putting it in fridge or other storage depending on what it is. If I’m out of vinegar I’ll use the peracetic acid I have for sanitizing my kegs.

100+ years ago when I was in elementary school I just used the lefty scissors even though I’m right handed because all the righty ones were fucked up from being used by a bunch of shitty unruly children that can only ruin stuff and there was only one real lefty in the grade and two in the whole school. If you don’t have some kind of condition it really isn’t that hard to just train your motor skills. I went to school with someone who was lefty but wrote right handed just to not get the smudge. In vancouver people love them even though gas is expensive as fuck here. This is one of those things that sounds impossible but then I’ve also seen when someone I know used social engineering to get a malicious build of a free video game on to the laptop of someone else I know to delete all his files remotely and for some reason it actually overheated uncontrollably and melted. I’ve settled on fedora atomic and distros based on it, but still not set on my servers. Currently trying atomic server also but I’m not sure if I’m staying with it. I also have some talos nodes but I haven’t gotten around to playing with that yet.
