GrapheneOS Camera is a Kotlin camera app using purely Android CameraX extensions and libraries which intends to replace not only the stock default AOSP Camera app for GrapheneOS, but be a competitor and new alternative to Google Camera. Also includes a QR code scanner from GrapheneOS’s Auditor.

Currently it’s already a great competitor to GCam and is even better than Open Camera, though it still needs heavy development and some CameraX extensions to be officially released for some more capabilities that GCam only provides. Both will happen pretty soon.

Because GrapheneOS only supports Pixels the app mainly targets Pixels, but welcomes suggestions to help make the app more device-agnostic without sacrificing security, privacy, usability, and quality.

The alpha prebuilt APK can be obtained here and is updated almost daily: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/platform_external_Camera/blob/12/prebuilt/Camera.apk
