That’s nice, but I’m not going to do so, because I’d rather support the developers of pornographic games financially. They already deal with enough flak without needing to give up sales revenue over this.
It also sounds like at least some of the stores are aiming to make the games available later with different payment processors, so I expect that they’re likely to come back.
I don’t know the logistics behind some of these giveaways, but it doesn’t have to mean that the devs are giving up their revenue. It could be gog just fronting the “cost”, no?
Could be. They don’t say so on the page, though.
Yeah that lack of transparency is a bummer. Might be worth private messaging some of the devs listed here to inquire.
Presumably the devs have to agree to it. I dont think gog cn just decide “were going to give away this game we dont own for free”
Most are older games with sequels or newer games by the developer. So they are probably hoping you like them and buy the sequel.
Yes, they’re called Good Old Games, after all.
They’re technically not anymore. They used to be good old games but when they shifted to include a large percentage of modern games they officially became just gog.
