What’s the difference between the Bambino and Bambino Plus? I’ve read through the product pages and it seems like the only difference is an auto-frother for USD $200 more. Is there something that I’m missing?

The Barista? Its grinder is comically bad. Both my brother and I bought one at the same time, and both grinders have since died after only a few years of disappointing results with it in the first place. Get a stand-alone grinder.

We got the Bambino because the grinder is not included. This way if the grinder breaks we can just get a new and different grinder!

That’s unfortunate. My parents have had one of these machines for almost 20 years now, and it’s been flawless. Maybe they have started cutting corners at some point.

I’m fully open to recommendations for alternatives within the same price range though, so i’d love to hear what people have had success with

I bought a Eureka Mignon Facile and single dose modded it using 3d printed parts. Love it.

Edit: There’s also the Eureka manuale/notte, which is cheaper (and louder), but grinds the same.
