Oh man I had chooks as a kid and we’d sometimes get handed an ex factory hen for palliative care. They were always wrecked, could barely walk. Mum and I would pop them in the dusty spot in the sun and they’d ruffle about. We only had two chooks so they didn’t start up the pecking order, which happens.
