I can understand when one might be upset about the state of the world. Who isn’t, eh? Comrade?
But no, your 100% hypethetical revelation that those people must inherently mistreat or underpay their staff, without any other context is a ridiculous leap. There is no question who adds more value, because of the way value is added. It is the way it is, because of the way it is.
Lawers can be skeezy.
Tech startup bros can be skeezy.
Hookers can be skeezy.
The care worker that takes care of your kids, could be skeezy. They are individuals. There will always be those people.
The professions are not inherently evil. There would be a version of them in any type of society whether it be fascist, socialist, communist, capitalist, or otherwise.
And they should always need to be performed open and honestly enough to have public approval of the processes.
There also will always be some form of prostitution.
But that can be done in a back alley.
And that’s why it doesn’t have much as much value.
I wild liberal appears! It’s not even a logical leap or a hypothetical. That’s literally how capitalism works. It costs $X to get someone to do a thing, but you get $3X dollars in return, while all you did was control the money, congratulations you’re benefiting from the exploitation of others. It’s inherently undemocratic and unethical to do less work than someone and get such an insanely outsized portion of the generated wealth, such as oh idk like the CEOs who make 300x the median salary of the employees in their company, to say nothing of the stock options and other benefits. That’s not even a statement about them as people, they may be nice people who care about their employees and try to do right by them, but nothing they do will make up for the fact that they’re stealing from them, other than stopping.
This applies to minimum wage workers, service workers, contract workers, blue collar workers, white collar workers, middle management, engineers, technicians, accountants, basically everyone who isn’t the owner class. We’re all being exploited. If you choose not to see that you’re part of the problem.
Also there’s nothing wrong with sex work and it shouldn’t be relegated to back alleys. Fuck you for implying that’s ok. People die being pushed to do that.
Straw-man argument bud. You may as well be house press secretary.
You said it yourself. “Its inherently undemocratic and unethical to do less work someone [else].”
An while you’re not technically correct about that either, the person you’re describing that did no work is the one who sells their bathwater in this meme.
Come on… I know you can do it… Your brain only has little bit more to go and you’ll get it.
