Hey everyone! Once a year around mid winter, I gather with a group of about 25 people for the weekend, and we each pick up a task. Last year I did a breakfast, and I liked it so I volunteered again this year. I’m now looking for inspiration!
Last year I did a classic Dutch (we are Dutch) breakfast, with various breads, toppings like cheeses, meats and sweets (Yes we put chocolate sprinkles on our bread and call it breakfast), and fruit.
This year I want to do something a little different! Tell me about favorite things to make for a large group, tell me about its history, origins, heritage!

Multiple frittatas or egg-based breakfast casseroles would work well. You could make each one unique so people can pick and choose, like Mexican (chorizo, jalapenos, queso fresco/cotija), southwestern style (chicken/turkey, peppers, Monterey Jack cheese), Italian (various herbs and mozzarella/parmesan/Romano), American (ham/bacon/sausage with cheddar), etc. Any of those would be awesome with diced onions, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, and just about any kind of cheese. I like putting crispy hash browns on the bottom before pouring the egg mixture over and sprinkling extra cheese on top before cooking. Serve with sour cream or creme fraiche and a bottle of hot sauce for those who like it spicy.
Or you could try the U.S. southern style breakfast with biscuits and gravy (country style, with or without sausage), cheese n grits, hash browns, bacon and sausage, and scrambled eggs. Pancakes/waffles might be tricky with so many people, but I imagine a variety of bagels and cream cheeses and other toppings would be easy to pull off.
