Today’s game is Shadow of Mordor. I got to what i thought was the final boss fight today after finishing up Gollum’s quest line. It was a lot of sneaking around and taking out enemies. I’m kind of noticing each quest giver kind of fits into categories of some sort. With Gollums being Mainly Stealth, That other Ranger guy being Combat with a little stealth, and Ratbag being a tutorial on the Nemesis system.

After fighting the Black Hand and failing too beat him a few times, i managed to take him out with a well placed combo attack and some arrows to the skull. Here is where i thought the game would start wrapping up and we’d move over to Shadow of War. But nope, i guess this is only the halfway point. Because the game opens up a whole second area to play around in, that is uniquely, very green. It provides a nice contrast to the previous area which is only slightly green.

I also unlocked this fancy ability which is basically an AOE to give me some breathing room. It’s kind of situational i feel like but i’m thankful to have it. It lets me get through Ghul fights a lot quicker and easier without them ripping out as much health from me.

Before i left to the new area i gathered up the last tower i was missing (i was only missing one) and then headed on. I didn’t know how long the quest would take so once i was out of the cutscene i turned it off there. I’m thoroughly surprised to find out the game basically doubled in length. I had expected it to end there, but surprisingly not. I’m excited to explore the new area, especially with all the bodies of water i now have access too. It will be interesting to explore.
