I want to test my new TV,
also recommend movies.
Maybe just use YouTube on the browser with adblock and choose the highest quality?
I don’t think pirate site is going to stream extreme quality.
1080p/2160p Bluray remuxes would suffice. Oh yeah, you said websites. Private trackers are the best bet, if you want well-seeded torrents in super high quality. But *public torrents, from places like limetorrents and 1337x could suffice.
For specific films? Interstellar, Inception, Redline, The Tree of Life, Dunkirk, Blade Runner 2049, Vertigo, House (1977), Ran (1985), The Night of the Hunter (1955), Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)
There’s definitely many lists of great films to test of TVs/Projector setups, keep looking
I found Into the Spider-verse was an excellent 4k movie to test picture quality
Foundation (tv show) and Tron: Ares are also very visually appealing works.
Right, that list somehow reminds me that I need to go get a copy of Children of Men, very topical, sadly, and worth a rewatch.
Oooo thanks for reminding me I gotta watch Redline.
If you want quality, torrents are where it’s at. You’ll be able to download full Blu-ray files, the whole 60 some GB worth.
Download uncompressed/remuxed UHD BluRays from any torrent site or Usenet. Some movies still look shitty because of messed up mastering (too grainy, too dark, too whatever), though.
