I haven’t been attacking anyone, just accurately describing that they’re harming others and politely asking them to choose not to harm others. You don’t care bc you sympathize with the oppressor

Edit: the only way to be “nice” to a carnist is to appease them and say what they’re doing is fine, which it isn’t, that animals don’t matter enough to hurry up and stop killing them now, which they definitely do. The only way to be “nice” to carnists is to side with people doing harm, minimizing that harm, and saying vegans who aren’t okay with animal murder are mean jerks, which we aren’t. That’s what all the pick-me’s are doing here, blowing hot air about how mean it is to be against literal actually rape and murder of the most oppressed class. I get this lecture every single time. It doesn’t matter how nice I am, doesn’t matter how I say it. Any pushback against the oppressive status quo is going to result in a lecture, bc ppl find it inherently mean to ask ppl to stop harming others if that harm is normalized.

You should have learned from Bill Cosby that respectability politics don’t work. But you’re not interested in solidarity or activism that works. You just don’t wanna be stigmatized and pilloried as one of “those” vegans, you know, that ones that actually disrupt a harmful status quo, the ones that get lectured by cowards for not appeasing human supremacy, the ones who are always sorry and quiet for the terrible crime of how not hurting others challenges those who do.
