How do companies that use AI for things like AI customer service representatives pay the AI company for its use ? It is a token based thing per call or just a weekly billing ?

So is an automatic transmission. AI in this context is specifically referring to LLM/generative AI.

I was just confused because AI is a fuzzy umbrella term.

I hate chatbot LLMs, but I don’t mind stuff like chess bots and videogame NPCs.

Technically it still falls under the overall AI umbrella but not the LLM/GenAI slop subset which has taken over the label.
