Well, it’s less about “distorting” than it is about accelerating a societal collapse -> reformation progression. Accelerationists believe that societal collapse is inevitable at this point, and that the collapse should be accelerated so that it’s not as drawn out, and so that (ostensibly) society can recover more quickly.
