WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly all Americans agree that the rampant spread of misinformation is a problem. Most also think social media companies, and the people that use them, bear a good deal of blame for the situation.
Yep too much of it is deliberate, and too many believe it. It is not so much about ‘censorship’ but more about having proper fact checking or accountability for information being broadcast. The worst is people actually quoting something as their evidence, yet that information has already been proven to be false. That’s just messy.
