Chief financial officer Anthony Skiadas said on an earnings call last week that Verizon is now “running leaner” following last year’s layoffs and that cost reductions would continue beyond 2026. The report did not include the workforce reduction in its outlook.

I already assume most big companies do this. I work in IT and while we have the ability, I don’t bother. I don’t care if someone is checking FB or social media as long as they aren’t breaking anything. But this should be a warning to IT folks in big tech, they will replace you with bots as soon as they can. They don’t care about you or what you create. All they want is money and power.
