I’m not saying china is good, I am saying America is bad even in comparison to China in many ways. The U.S. has become culpable for the atrocities being committed by Israel and El Salvador and that is just this year. In recent years they got the atrocities being committed in the Middle East and before that South America and south east Asia

The U.S. invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and provided military support for war crimes to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

That charity doesn’t pay him a salary, the worst you could say it does is pay for hotels/airfare/food (that I am not even sure if the gates foundation does for him) but even if it did it would be a fraction of the money like when I say a fraction I mean less than 0.0001% so like paying a tax rate of 99.9999%. You keep talking about PR but what is the PR for? Because again you could get much better PR for an absolute fraction of the price.
Like for the same reason no billionaires should exist because a billion dollars is unfathomable a billion dollars could pay for so much stuff that funneling it through a legit charity is just not worth it.

He isnt doing it for the tax break… like think about that logically if he normally spends 10m a year then he pays taxes on that 10m if he sells 100B of stock and donates it he doesn’t have to pay taxes on the amount he donates but still is out the 100B.
There are degrees of evil, a person who spits on a person is not as bad as someone who kills a person. A billionaire who feels bad as he ages and tries to give that money to charity is not as bad as someone using that money to fund Nazi groups.
Like I am not saying spitting on people is okay but to lump someone who spits on people with someone who kills a persons as “no better than the others” is wrong and if anything we should be encouraging more billionaires to donate their money as it’s at least better than them hoarding it
It’s always been possible to cheat your way through school but as more and more people start cheating it just is going to further worsen the quality of college graduates
The goal is apathy. How can I put in the absolute minimum amount of effort to not get fired with the mindset that if I did get fired it wouldn’t be the end of the world. It generally comes from feeling like you aren’t appreciated or properly compensated from your job.

It’s not a new concept as office space made a joke about it in the 90s but it’s a current buzzword and becomes more applicable as the gap between C suites and average employees continues to grow

That’s factually not true; what happens to a company with no competition but also no customers and no suppliers? There is a reason why the most successful companies aren’t isolated from the world

In Romania the legal drinking age is 18 but regardless if we say it’s commonplace to drink at 17, she just entered that period of time whereas you have been doing it for 5 years.
Your parents may support you financially but you are expected to learn life skills in those 5 years, also you should be finishing school where you have learned everything you need to further your career and she is just entering it does that not seem strange to you?
Really the biggest problem is that there is a power dynamic between you, you are more educated, more developed, more experienced, when a relationship should be between two equals. What makes it so much worse at this age is how quickly you hit milestones and how quickly you can completely eclipse the other person
A 5 year age difference isn’t the problem it’s being several developmental and societal milestones apart. That’s why it’s gross, and not just in the U.S. but in many countries.
A 5 year age difference between a 25year old and a 30 year old is benign a 3 year age difference between a 13 year old and a 16 year old is bad.
In your case developmentally it should be obvious in terms of both physical/mental development but unless you missed numerous key life events you should be at a very different stage in your life. As she is entering the workforce/post secondary education you should be leaving post secondary/ being at an intermediate level in your career path. While she most likely is still firmly living at home and has others taking care of her you should be able to be fully independent even if you are still living at home, while she can’t legally buy a drink you probably have a substantial alcohol tolerance.
Like sure there are countries where adult men marry literal children 10-13 but we don’t call those countries open minded

If you switch and start with the pinky as 1 and the thumb as 5 the middle finger is still the middle number. Talking about the gaps can be useful but anatomically we name things for what’s there and what’s not there and we talk about fingers much more than we talk about the gaps
