They demonized all actions of Valve, for the sake of defending Epic, even to the point of painting something that aids Linux adoption across the board as if it were a secretive, locked-down part of Steam’s environment. I pointed out the failure in that. Yeah, totally the same. 🙄

TF2 Classified was originally called TF2 Classic, and has been out for years, this is just the official Steam release.
Yep, know about that. Set it up back when I tried a few Debian-based distros with Gnome. I’m using Plasma with Dolphin as my file manager now, which has its own thumbnailer that relies on icoutils. I’ve got the whole thing set up and enabled, it just… doesn’t work.
I posted in official support channels for my flavor of Fedora not having functioning Windows EXE thumbnails, despite having evidence of it working out-of-the-box for other people. It got two replies, “Lol, find another distro if you don’t like it,” and “Did you install (package that comes pre-installed)?”
In truth, this is how almost every issue I’ve had with Linux has gone, which is likely why I’ve had three false starts and gone through six different distros before deciding to stick with this one that is only mildly broken.
We can only hope these companies are treated as collaborators in the future.

I use Floorp on desktop. Since I got used to it, I just can’t live without that advanced sidebar. Being able to open the mobile versions of web pages right on the side is just too useful.

The person you responded to provided a simplified explanation. You, on the other hand, have provided one that is false.
Billet Labs initially stated that they could keep it, yes, but after the ridiculous, defamatory review performed on the entirely wrong hardware, they requested it back, which LMG agreed to provide prior to selling it at auction.

In short, what happened was, Bronzebeard made a cynical and destructive statement about the existence and development of Proton. I called them out by referencing what they said. Then, you came along, picked out some reasons to be angry with Valve, attributed them to me as though I said them, and acted as though pointing them out made you superior. We are not the same.
