More like it’s a shitty headline. The article shows there’s a little more to it, specifically that it was going to go over budget and they hadn’t figured out what they were gonna do.

I don’t see reporting on this from any reputable sources. If this were true, every major blog covering tech and gaming would be all over it. All I can find is random YouTube channels and nobody websites discussing it.
I’m not gonna pay it any attention until there’s reliable evidence they’re actually planning on doing this.
They did, but this is so little of a blip, it might not have even triggered.
I’m not too far into the lore either, but the Witcher audiobooks jsut happened to be up next in my listening queue, so I guess I’ll find out about all that pretty soon.
She might have done the trials with another school. In the trailer, she is wearing a feline witcher medallion, not a wolf one. I don’t think the lore ever mentions the School of the Cat having their mutagens destroyed.
Oh, I wasn’t implying anything of the sort, I just got excited about that little detail and wanted to share it with you!
She’s wearing a feline medallion in the trailer, so it stands to reason she’s affiliated with the School of the Cat now. She probably went through their trials. And apparently CDPR has stated she is indeed a full witcher now.
The Wolf school had it’s mutagens destroyed, yes. But in the trailer, it appears Ciri is wearing a feline medallion, implying that she is somehow affiliated with the School of the Cat now.
Somebody pointed out to me that the witcher medallion that Ciri is wearing is feline, so possibly from the School of the Cat, which according to the wiki was known to train women as witchers. I wonder if they had a different trial than that of the grasses. She might be a full fledged mutant, like Geralt.
I’m so critical not of other anecdotes, but of a comment that explicitly stated I was lying, and that there was no chance I could possibly have had a perfect experience so far with Arch. He didn’t infer, he didn’t imply, he straight up said I was lying. That’s literally the words he used.
Of course I’m going to be critical of that.
I was able to watch all of those movies and shows on the Usenet tier of Netflix.
So does piracy, and it gives just as much money to the corporations who made the movie, if that’s something you’re worried about. And piracy don’t cost you shit.
there’s never been a bigger hive of scum and villainy
You know, I somehow very highly doubt the Kremlin cares much about how sex workers might be affected.
Yeah, I bet his throwing arm is strong enough to make it a couple thousand feet in the air.
The majority of the people in those instances are probably not working with the state, they’re just what the Soviet Union used to refer to as “useful idiots”. So they would indeed be blocked if Hexbear and lemmy.ml are hosted in Russia.
If everybody but the state is blocked, then any connections from Russia would be pretty fucking obviously the state. Honestly, that’s the best thing that could happen, since it would make figuring out what they are doing easy as fuck. But I have no doubt they are smart enough to just send their teams to China or something like North Korea does.
Well if they cut themselves off, then why wouldn’t western nations just finish the job and block all Russian IPs from connecting? Make them travel outside of Russia to set up propaganda machines. Sure, it won’t have much of an effect, but it’ll annoy them, and that’s something.
Wait, so just like that, we’re gonna lose access to lemmy.ml and hexbear? Oh no! Woe, woe unto us! How will we survive this?
That’s not how anyone describes that game, and if they did, I’m sure it wouldn’t have been canceled. Frostpunk did pretty well.
