Oh boy. I’m sorry for my ignorance. Haven’t touched Windows since win 7 came out and did not expect it do go down that much, that sounds like win95 self install.
But still, I guess it is easier more the majority, since you “just” need to follow the instructions on the screen and not think it look into alternatives, which you need to get on a viable device etc. I guess here “easier” means something else than “less complicated”. Only solution I could imagine would be if PCs would be shipped with something like a sophisticated version of netboot, or of course you can choose the os when ordering, but that only viable on smaller scale. But even than… People would not go through the list and just go with what they know. Didn’t mean to post such a wall of text… just random thoughts coming in
People usually use Windows because it comes pre installed. I doubt arch install is easier than that ;)
Whatever you want. You did ten pushups… add it to the counter, ate sweets… add it to the counter. So it doesn’t count anything automatically, it just gives you a simple interface to keep track of stuff.
I guess they can’t know in advance that they will end up being a one hit wonder
Shouldn’t that be called unboxing day anyway?
Cats simply hate closed doors. They need to know what’s going on behind and why do you close them out. Most of the time ours don’t even follow in the bathroom, they simply stand in the door preventing you from closing it or keep one paw in the door. It’s like a little game of chasing for them.
If you are lucky your system is atomic or has other roll back feature. Otherwise it’s reinstall time.
I guess you could set up a fresh system, run a script that goes through each folder checking the permission and setting it on the target system.
Not necessary, we it body spend a lot of effort to cool and we do a lot of other stuff. If a dragon is sleeping mostly he doesn’t need so much. Also you don’t need any energy to maintain temperature. You just need enough to compensate for what you use. So let’s say they mostly sleep and have really good insulation, they are fine. Or just sleep in a pit of lava.
Cold fusion sounds also feasible, given it’s a mystical creature.
Any food gives energy, so you can either eat some which is packed with chemical burn value (oil/coal/peat…) or just eat a lot of “normal valued” food like humans. Third option is they have really good processing and insulation (humans dump most again because it takes to long to process).
Or a lower priority target. Unfortunately my home was on the way to Dresden
In Germany it’s common consensus that payment is done once the work is finished and billed accordingly. Of course for prolonged projects you agree on several installments.
Just recently I learned that according to law your monthly utility payments (for flats) are still your money until you get a proper bill.
FOSS is free and open source software, which is free to use and it’s source code is disclosed and allowed to used to variable extend, often (definitely not always) owned by private people or non profit organizations. “Just” freeware is usually used for proprietory software, which is free to use, but undisclosed source, so nobody can look under the hood and see what it actually does.
Wow, that being a thing sounds surreal Oo
Unfortunately I can’t check that, because oats cause my intestines to go postal
Depending on the authors origin it might refer to a “master of the trade”
