Reading is hard.
Reading is hard.
Alert! The point is being contested!
Yeah, Linus should get right on that and make some kind of system for this…
I’ll copy and paste what I wrote elsewhere:
To add context:
Linus only reacted this way to people who really should have known better. This isn’t a “here is my first ever patch, I read all the rules and I hope I didn’t break any” situation. The person he is chewing out is a kernel maintainer. They are someone who is experienced and trusted and Linus was rightly angry that this poor quality work was submitted.
However… Linus has also worked a lot on himself in the past few years, fully acknowledging that he shouldn’t behave this harshly when someone fucks up. If the same situation was to present itself today, he would be much more professional, but would probably still be a bit angry and you’d know about it.
Linus is a flawed human being, but credit where it is due, he has worked on some of his character flaws.
And I’ll add: This is the internet. There is no “taking down” of this. In fact, you’re getting angry over a screenshot of the original. Once it’s out there, it’s never getting removed.
On the contrary, he stepped back from his work for a while to work on his personality flaws and is much better than he used to be.
Credit where it’s due: he has improved.
It is less entertaining though…

Tell that to the AI which actually wrote that article.
Even as a native English speaker that doesn’t make any sense.
Trash news sources have trash grammar. Go figure.
It’s the American Iresali way
You’re the one rabidly pushing a technology that nobody is buying for some reason.
As soon as anybody disagrees with you (which is basically everyone) you respond with irrational anger, hate and swearing.
That’s not normal. It’s not healthy.
You need help. Get it.
Maybe stop insulting everyone who disagrees with you. That’s how children behave. Not adults.
You are genuinely mentally ill. Get help.
Personally, my 200 mile EV has taken me everywhere I’ve wanted to go and when I stop and charge it’s ready to go again before I am.
And that’s the key.
As long as EV range > Bladder range and they charge fast enough that the toilet break time is similar to charging time, then it doesn’t matter.
This is entirely separate of course from the much more basic issue that a car that breaks because of some fucking precipitation is not fit for purpose and this damage report would be indefensible just about anywhere in the world.
Two things here…
The source of this is …The Mirror. Not exactly top shelf journalism. They thrive of outage, just like the Daily Fail. Keep that in mind when reading these trash sources.
I suspect the owner of the vehicle did a lot more than “drive it in a bit of rain” and is simply lying about it in order to try and get bailed out. Funnily enough I’ve not seen a queue of Tesla’s broken down every time I drive in the rain.
It’s certainly possible that the owner is telling the truth. But I doubt it. I doubt it a lot.
FCEV
Lol.
Keep dreaming.
It’s open source and lots of eyeballs have looked at it.
It’s fine.
It’s what one bot keeps spamming, and it doesn’t really work. The videos never play for me.
And wake up and find the third package in failed to compile.
He unironically probably did.
He also modded the jailbait subreddit, in case you were unaware.
A real stand up guy
Just typical Gnome these days, sadly.
This isn’t news at all. Gnome very regularly breaks extensions on every release.
Only four fingers visible…
