As opposed to not encrypting which also makes you a target for a significantly bigger amount of people with less required skills?
no as opposed to not making it obvious by using something like signal or session or matrix… damn like privacy is not a binary switch, threat models matter, and who tf is gonna use your texts against you besides the gov? Why give your cellular provider any metadata about the messages you send? Like all things considered silence is not a good option because you stick out so much.
