Look after it (especially the interior enamel - read Le Creuset’s instructions on their website) and it’ll do you for life.
Yeah, I’m not looking to baby it and keep it 100% pristine but I’m gonna try to keep it going for the rest of my life.
Good choice, if you can afford them.I have a similar one by the same brand. Even the same colour. They’re very heavy, but it will last longer than I will.
Yeah. At a regular price I could never convince myself to get one. I do believe they’re worth what Le Creuset are asking for them however. The enamel is very high quality. A cheaper piece will do the same jobb though.
We use ours several times a week. Good for making bread in, stews, any other meat in sauce type meals.
Yep, it’s a very useful tool!
Nice. We have some enamelware I made a roast in a couple months ago and I still think about it sometimes lol
I love these enamelled cast irons and that’s a really sharp color.
Le Creusets’ Volcanic is a very nice color indeed!
I got a cheap aldi one years ago. Total workhorse. Highly recommended.
What a crock.
Whatcha making with it?
The latest thing I did was to braise pork ribs for 8 hours. Came out real nice and jucy. Falling off the bone.
Best way to make some chili right there!
I haven’t gotten to that yet. I should do that.
Damn, you must be buff as hell to be able to still lift this thing with just one arm, balancing on one leg!
I’m just surprised the French still allow payment in body parts tbh
Looking good!
What’s the size of this one?
Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the sale price?
It’s the 5L 24cm one, a good size tbh! It was 50% off, which is still almost €200.
Radioactive coating?
The wife uses hers to make rice. NGL it makes it twice as good as out of the rice cooker.
I’m not worried. This one was new!
I got a damaged one for £25. The enamel is dented, but it’s still good for breads if I use parchment
It would also work to plant some nice flowers. Not too bad at 25.
Yeah got to be careful with used though, I got a nice commercial grade saucepan at a junk shop last weekend for £3 and it leaks. Only found out after three rounds of scrubbing with bar keepers, too. That’s going to be good for flowers, you want some drainage after all.
Yeah used is more complicated.
