Library Genesis is the platform for the free library, founded in 2008 by bookwarrior.
freeread.org has a good summary, Wikipedia has some additional infos.
The community still without any link to the mirrors, other sites or forums/places to comunicate.
libgen.fun is just focused on its own mirror, it does not recognize the other mirrors as true to the LG mission. The freeread.org wiki has some good info: http://freeread.org/reddit-libgen/
