However, I do not wish to moderate most of them. So tell me if you want to run any of them ^^
/r/hackintosh
can’t wait to flex my hackintoshed laptop that barely works that i spent tens of hours troubleshooting 😏
I pry won’t because of how difficult they make installing Linux on one, but I sooo wanna try out Linux on one of those new M1 arm macbooks. Gimme dat 14 hour battery life.

both clover and open core support dual-booting as long as you plan the installation ahead and not after installing macOS, getting macOS to work on your laptop properly is a much bigger hassle if this is what you meant

check out asahi linux, they is still a lot of progress, but they are on their way to reverse engineer the apple arm gpu architecture and subsequently develop a foss driver for it
their end goal is to make a linux distro that is supposed to specifically run really good on apple arm hardware
Noice. I think also there are a few non-apple arm laptops coming out next year, and I think arch linux, and maybe ubuntu, and manjaro have arm versions. Most of all its gonna be exciting to get a lot more apps built for arm.
ForbiddenSnacks made me hungry many times
I don’t want to moderate any communities. I wonder who would be willing to moderate a ForbiddenSnacks here.
I’d love to see some more cat communities over here :D but I also miss /r/unresolvedmysteries
It’s okay to start a community, even if it’s only a community of one right at the beginning. You never know who might be interested in it too. I started !uncle_bens@lemmy.ml and !toki_pona@lemmy.ml , and surprisingly there were a few more ppl besides me who are interested in those.
Yeah, right before you posted this I decided to create Deciding to Be Better, Cats Are Liquid, and Forbidden Snacks ^^
Sweet!
I created four more just now too. Final Fantasy XIV, Serious Pokémon Trades, Casual Pokémon Trades, Dirt-Cheap Recipes, and Autism Spectrum Experiences. I think that’s good enough for now, and I hope this will help Lemmy grow!
Cool. Just be sure to do posts occasionally in them too, we have a lot of absent communities that we end up having to transfer to more active users. Also at some point we might do a cleanup.
I think I’ll try to post every day. Is there a main page where “NEW” posts show up, to generate activity in my posts?
The main page default sorts by activity for everyone, so they’ll see new posts that way. There’s also hot and new sorts too.
I like the VisibleMending and Gardening communities and use Reddit only for that anymore honestly
What do you mean by “carry over”? Copying all posts and comments here?
Of course not.
So maybe just communities with the same names and topics then?
SlateStarCodex, Zettelkasten, Bogleheads, projectmanagement, ChrisRamsay52, rational
They are mostly about self-posts and discussions, so I cannot simply resubmit the stuff here.
