    The media literacy of the general public is surprisingly low. I wouldn’t be shocked if some people actually think like this.

      I have bad news - most people think like this. At this point, I don’t believe people actually watch the media they consume, even sat right in front of it - They mindless let it pump into their brains, then let other media tell them what emotions they should feel, or (maybe) decide that for themselves based on the fraction of the story they actually processed.

      The really bad news is this practice isn’t isolated to just fiction.
