I get social anxiety from weed but it’s not chronic. Only when I’m high around someone who doesn’t know it.

I know nothing about it but it seems controversial. Some studies say CBD is a placebo to calm anxiety. I would advise to read more about it and make up your mind.

THC is AFAIK the component that produces the high and CBD its counterpart that soothes.

CBD by itself shouldn’t cause anxiety, however CBD oils can contain a wide variety of different cannabinoids, including THC (the compound that gets you high and causes anxiety in some users).

Full spectrum oils can contain very small amounts of THC, although not enough that it becomes psychoactive for the majority of people. However, it is possible that people with an acute sensitivity to THC might start to feel some effects.

Broad spectrum oils specifically contain 0% THC, so those are the ones to go for if you want to rule out the possibility of reacting to any THC in the oil.

My psychiatrist said that the empirical evidence shows its only mildly “effective” for comparatively few people.

I tried it consistently for a few months. Not effective at all for me.
