Using this new Lemmy platform kinda reminds me if using Reddit almost 10years ago. Platform was fairly new to me. I could somewhat explore new content. There were still some kinks that needed work. People talking about digg…, etc.
Using this new Lemmy platform kinda reminds me if using Reddit almost 10years ago. Platform was fairly new to me. I could somewhat explore new content. There were still some kinks that needed work. People talking about digg…, etc.
I mean, yes and no. It feels the same in the sense of having to go find communities etc. that you are interested in, but the entire concept overall is different. It’s cool to have a difference between local and all, which is a totally different idea than Reddit. It’s kinda cool that you can get even more specific than “there’s a sub for everything” to the point where there’s a community for everything on a more localized or broader level. Also, the UI is much cleaner (IMO) than Reddit has ever had.
