I think a lot of people in the west are kind of sleeping on the capabilities of microwaves. They’re fantastic.

That’s not an endorsement of AI.

After having 2 microwaves barely lasting more than a year in sequence, I decided no never have one again and rely on a small electric oven. It’s not the same, but it’s also great to use and it’s lasting 5 years so far. I don’t even miss a microwave anymore

Wow. That’s some shit luck, and I definitely get why you’d choose to not have one.

Don’t think we’ve had one last less than a decade.

But if you don’t need one, you don’t need one. No need to clutter your home with another appliance just because it can occasionally heat up leftovers in a minute or something. I find it convenient but I’ve also lived without it and it was fine.

The science was sound and built on a reliable use of electricity for output that people tried to get clever with but eventually settled into a more casual relationship with instead of expecting anything amazing from?

I mean honestly yeah probably will end up similar to microwaves where local running versions that people operating it are ok with lower quality will use, use it and its considered gross for professional setups.

      Good comparison.
