    It was just a joke about the car falling from the sky.
    As I said, it’s more about Ash’s development for me. Over three movies, he becomes more of a caricature and I am not sure how much people can accept where he’s at in the 3rd movie going in blind. There’s no arc to him in AoD. He starts out over the top and insane. I think seeing at least the 2nd before this gives some explanation to him

        Sam Raimi said the motivation for many shots was just to abuse his friends. I think most of the shooting of the second half of Evil Dead 2 was just him with a camera–and maybe a light guy–making Bruce Campbell hurt himself

          Basically yeah. Hearing it from Bruce Campbell’s perspective, the plot killing off the rest of the characters meant they could send the rest of the cast home and then Sam and Bruce had time to fuck around, mostly at Bruce’s expense. Not that he hadn’t also kicked the shit out of the other actors, there’s a video out on Youtube of Bruce and the four women from the film basically trading war stories about that film, getting goo in their eyes, being thrown down stairs, having that cellar door shut on their hands…
