The Expanse if the best books series I have read in years and might be the best science fiction series I’ve ever read. The quality does not diminish (in my opinion), and I am glad I didn’t watch the show beyond the first season before reading the books. But there is a lot more than the show covers. I think you can come back to the Novellas later if you like. They are great but you don’t need to read them alongside the main novels unless you are so inclined.

When you have a 12’ ceiling, the options are expansive.

That’s only if you don’t want to save first (ahem write the buffer).

If you think you are being brigaded you can talk to the admins to see if they can catch someone abusing the system, but otherwise trying to find the names of the people downvoting you is pretty stalker in itself. What are you going to do with that info?

Is there a TLDW? I will try to watch this later (too busy this morning), but I’d love a summary if anyone is willing to provide.

I’d like to nominate Omega Rising (book 1 of Omega Force) by Joshua Dalzelle. It’s a fun and very enjoyable read that opens the door to one of my favorite series of sci-fi novels about a group of unlikely shipmates thrown together from unusual circumstances as they overcome the traffickers who forced them together. It also manages to feel like a hopeful but still dark enough future without being a Star Trek clone.

I guess “GuessworK” was the wrong thing to say. More like googling formula, doing the math, then counting the days backward while looking at a calendar is more apt. It’s really more whimsically convenient than anything. Like I said, I made this for me, but thought I would share it if it could be useful to someone else. Please feel free to not ever think about it again.

They are really solid audiobooks. Jefferson Mayes (I think that’s who narrates) really kills it. Except for his pronunciation of Gimbal, that one drives me crazy!

I will say that each book gets better. It is very clear that JDATE was Pargin’s first book. It may still not be for you, but I have enjoyed the later books much more. I do think it’s important to start at the beginning though to get to know the characters.

If you haven’t read the books, I can not recommend them enough. The show is great! But the books are so much deeper and continue the story much further.
