Anyone reading this: keep in mind that there’s a conflict of interest, the authors of that piece work for a competing technology (a VPN), some of the things they complain about Tor is actually users making simple mistakes or not properly configuring the software (deviating from the safe default settings) and that those things can also happen with a VPN.

TL;DR Tor is not safe, but, if you purchase our honeypot, it’ll totally make it safe and address all aforementioned concerns!

if you understand how tor works, its threat models and how to work with these threat models, i’d say yes. If no, then no, you should not trust tor.

Why should I trust in a project driven by an organization/collective who trust on direct lies against someone, which could be easily checked, and sign a petition telling that they confirm without even checking?
I could understand that someone trust in a very closed person as source and take the wrong decisions, but in a case like this with so many people involved and with very obviously things… I don’t know if they are the most perfect people to take care of a project where “checking” and “trust” are keywords.
