It’s nearly impossible to have a favourite lofi music mix 😊 I have many favourites, but I really love the Japanese lofi music mixes, like the one below.
Yepp! ^^ But after 20 minutes when the rap comes in, I disliked it.
I have mixed feelings about mixing up rap and lo-fi. I generally do not like it very much, but there are artists that made some very interesting albums experimenting with rap samples and lo-fi/nuJazz/future funk, such as “Nineteen” from Desired or generally a lot of work from Nxxxxxs (I don’t know if you can really call his work lo-fi though, the lofi genre landscape is very vast and confusing to me :))
Yeah. I totally agree. lofi should be only instrumental with minimal voices or none at all. I’ve heard lofi mixes (usually in those sad mixes) where you can hear Lisa and Bart from The Simpsons talk, but with an small echo and their voices lowered down a tiny bit. That combo works perfectly! It adds a lot to the atmosphere of the music.
To be honest, I didn’t knew that there was any lofi mixes with rap in it until yesterday.
To be honest, I agree with this. I don’t like lyrics in lo-fi songs, except audio clips from The Simpsons, NASA, etc, but you do you.
