One criticism of many that could be made is on the tag line: “The classic story comes to life”
I feel like anyone given any role in any decision-making for a movie like this should respect the original enough not to claim that it didn’t bring the story “to life”. It was the first ever feature-length cartoon, it very much brought the story to life.
At the very least this movie seems to bring the story to the uncanny valley. Pausing at 1:42 is… highly regrettable.
I’m actually excited when really meh movies come out for loved franchises, because I know i will have hours of youtube analysis content to watch while at the gym!
I have to agree with one of the comments: “If I saw this on a plane I would still walk out.”
Edit: the comment section is absolutely worth a moment of your time.
Honestly,it’s the only reason I shared this. I knew no one would upvote this crap, but the comments make it worth it.
I went to read the comments after this comment. I don’t know this Rachel Ziegler person, is she known for being cold? Or is her portrayal of the character coming off as cold? (I didn’t actually watch it)
A lot of people are complaining about the CGI dwarves, but it’s infinitely preferable to the original “Seven Magical Creatures” bullshit they originally planned.
They ditched this early on, so we don’t know who’s who, but guessing Sleepy, Bashful, Dopey, Doc, Grumpy, Happy and Sneezy.
I don’t get it, if they didn’t want to make seven dwarves, then why make snow white and the seven dwarves?
“Magical creatures” is just lazy writing
Another cash grab. Those dwarves look god awful. Who green lit that?
Is there anyone left at Disney that understands who their core audience is and how to market to them?
