Here are some tips, then, from my side, since I am from India.
Eat a bowl of curd/yogurt twice a day, both meals. Yes, during night as well.
Try adjusting yourself to just using fans in summers and only use the cooler or AC during bedtime. Exceptions are when the temperatures become over 43C, use AC for 30 minutes twice during daytime, if your room is on the outside part of a house or apartment.
Just like curd, try having more dairy or other non-dairy coolant foods throughout the day, anything with electrolytes works too.
