Remember that Trump doesn’t care about rules. He thinks that any leader has absolute power within the territory they control. So he thinks the prime minister of Norway should have personally ensured that Trump received the Nobel peace prize.

As the other reply said, you are unhappy about the situation in Palestine, but not about the situation in Xinjiang. I think my position is that Israel is wrong to kill Palestinian civilians, Hamas is wrong to kill Israeli civilians, and China is wrong to lock up Uyghurs in internment camps.
As for the US, sure their imperialism is worrying, whether it’s invading Venezuela or taking Greenland. I don’t think that means Chinese imperialism is any better though - e.g. their desire to take Taiwan, regardless of the wishes of the Taiwanese people.

I do think Trump is bad. But seeing as you’re from Lemmy.ml you probably defend imperialism when it comes from other countries: China and Russia.
I think international law might be a good idea. A set of laws that the US, China, Russia, and all other countries would have to abide by.
You talk about “bloodthirsty westerners” but there was a lot of opposition in the West to the Iraq War. I think France refused to get involved at all in Iraq, spurring Americans to rename french fries to “freedom fries”. There were protests like this across western countries.
Anyway I would agree with you that American imperialism is bad. I just think that Chinese and Russian imperialism are also bad. For example China seems to want to take Taiwan, and islands in the South China Sea, without regard for laws or for democratic wishes.
Maybe a world of large powers (US, China, Russia) invading wherever they like is bad for all of us.
