Yup. I have yet to play around with wayland since im a linux mint user but look forward to it. I know what xserver intended to solve and weve gone way past those times. Something new is needed, and i hope wayland can integrate ui a lot better than xserver can. From what ive heard there are things wayland cant do that xserver can ( like stitching 2 monitors together and make it act like 1 ) but that wont stop me from trying and looking for performance differences

Not really. Linux mint/cinnamon is lacking behind on wayland support. Im still waiting for them to finish it but its going very very slowly.

With debian and ubuntu switching by default, i think linux mint will have to change gears quickly

I think it has to do with the google certification you have to go through to sell hardware shipping with android. All devices need to be certified by google or they are not allowed to run gapps or connect to the playstore. This is what huawei lost after trump banned them, so they had to make their own shit as a replacement

Yes, think cheap android tablets that are so shit google store can barely run on it. Those devices are usually chinese knockoffs and do not ship with google services, google store or any gapps.

The benelux media tweakers.net has tested the failing ssd on linux, and yes it did fail there too. They were saying temperature might have been a factor since in windows the temperatures were higher than linux, but something was off ye.
If this is a case of prerelease firmware being shipped and killing it under load, thats baaaddd.
