The EU is not playing hardball. We (UK) fucked them. It cost them. This is insurance. We all pay insurances based upon our history of risk. Bad car drivers pay higher insurance premiums. That said, we do need to have a writing down of the clause impact after a period of time to align with other nations within the EU.

We may well be the last significant defence. Lets not allow our governments to follow the US route. Popularism is sadly growing at alarming pace here in the UK. People I thought to be brighter than this are falling for the ridiculous promises that don’t add up.

I think you’ve just made my point. If they can all move to USB-C then a few switches at the back end would be far simpler. We just need the gumption to speak out and tell these so-called IT companies what is and isn’t acceptable.

The Finnish educational system really is excellent from my own reading and understanding.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with some Finns, not enough to be sufficiently representative, but still helpful. Calm, considered and extremely thoughtful. Interesting conversations about how their kids and themselves had studied as children compared to UK children. I wish I’d gone to school in Finland.

A missed opportunity but shows that the EU member states can do as they wish.
Here in the UK, where “we” stupidly voted for self damege (Brexit), the main BS spouted was that we were dictated to by the EU and the Brexit would give freedoms. It was BS in every way given that the things blamed on the EU were local UK decisions. Don’t be like us in the UK. Stick together and screw Trump.
