The EU is not playing hardball. We (UK) fucked them. It cost them. This is insurance. We all pay insurances based upon our history of risk. Bad car drivers pay higher insurance premiums. The Finnish educational system really is excellent from my own reading and understanding.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with some Finns, not enough to be sufficiently representative, but still helpful. Calm, considered and extremely thoughtful. Interesting conversations about how their kids and themselves had studied as children compared to UK children. I wish I’d gone to school in Finland.

Here in the UK, where “we” stupidly voted for self damege (Brexit), the main BS spouted was that we were dictated to by the EU and the Brexit would give freedoms. If possible in Vietnam, then we can all have this wherever we are in the world. Europe set out USB-C compliance and everyone is compliant.

Europe experienced a “brain drain” for quite a few years to the US. I suspect that a lot of talented US citizens will be looking at the rest of the world to set up home, careers and families.

Agree with this chaps ideas here. We are not advocating for European variant of MAGA though. We need to shift the balance of economic, technical and environmental power. The US is too happy to destroy the environment, economies and nations for an economic model that destroys everything to gain the extra buck
