If you’re just using it for that, install Linux Mint on it. I have a 2010 MacBook that runs Mint great with no upgrades

I had a Barcode Battler. I loved it. Looking back, I guess the fun came from the book that accompanied it along with creating my milk, cereal, or soap themed heroes.

I reached that trilogy a couple months ago. It wasn’t that bad. It’s not as good as LOTR, but I still enjoyed it.

Dishwasher for dishes, pots and pans get scrubbed by hand, simply because I can fit 6 or 7 plates in the same space pots take while it only takes a few seconds to scrub a pot.

I’ve installed Mint on 2 older MacBooks. All I had to do was plug in to Ethernet and update the drivers to get it working. I have had no problems with either one since.

Thinkpads are super durable and kind of fun. I got a bunch of T420s (nice) from my boss for free and they’re all running Mint fantastically, as well as some 90s games. (They are being used for the occasional LAN party)

The T420 is from around 2011, so if you spent money on one you could get a better one easy.
