I’m just here to say I don’t want to read AI generated texts. Not even when marked as such. I prefer human to human communication. Generation quality isn’t there yet by a long shot.

While I don’t think we can beat AI driven content degradation by outposting them, I still agree posting ‘just Google it’ does any good either.

Post an answer or link a topic which covered the same question in detail. But directing people to Google isn’t something I’d advocate. Maybe tell them to Ecosiate it if you really have to.

Also it’s just rude and creates an uninviting admosphere around here Imo.

But the AI issue can’t be solved by users alone. It’s moderation and maybe regulation which is needed here.

Same. I got his book as an ebook and read it. It offers some decent if simple advice and draws some really weird and false conclusions in other places. But overall it isn’t a bad book and I never felt like he argued on bad faith. But eventually I decided I don’t agree with his views overall.

Later he went a bit weird eating only meat and making weird arguments so idk. But before that I totally understood how he could suck people into the right wing bubble.

What makes YouTube social media for me is the following

• everyone can post content, in the forms of video everyone else can comment, rate and follow
• algorithm based browsing of video content and comment sorting
• images, text posts and polls can be posted to followers
• shorts is basically TikTok, so if that is social media so are shorts

KDE is one of the few I always have in my list. No matter the OS I use, I always end up using KDE and highly prefer it over anything else I’ve tried. So it’s my way to contribute to not hate the time spent at my computer in the near future.
