rpg@ttrpg.network•What RPG rules would you use for Brancalonia instead of D&D?
2·18 days agoCortex Prime. Extremely hackable, nearly impossible to break. Powerful to reinforce flavor with mechanics (which is what I think you’re going after). Simple mechanics (if you don’t go ham with the Mods).

1·18 days agoMark of the Odd games (Into the Odd, Mausritter, Into the Bronze, etc.). Extremely fast character creation, the rules so light they’re almost not there, very few rolls, very deadly rolls.

I never understood the appeal of Rifftrax. Either they get in the way of enjoying a good movie or annoy the shit out of me while pretend watching a bad one. Clearly a lot of people like it, though, so more power to them.

Bulldogs is a great narrative game on Fate with that vibe.

Of course. What is sambal, just in case there’s someone in the audience that doesn’t know it?
I have no experience with this specific setting, but I’ve played SW quite a bit. I think it would be pretty straightforward to adapt it to FATE, and with a little extra effort but a better result to Cortex Prime.
If you’re open to branching into other systems, the folks at !scifi@ttrpg.network can help you pick an easy to learn and vibe appropriate system for your adventure.

1·1 year agoYou’re pinning for a system that prevents fascism, but it doesn’t exist. You prevent it through other sociological structures. The method for selecting power can’t do what you want it to do.
But by all means, keep trying to bait people online, I’m sure that helps you somehow.

They are very strict on what sort of content goes there, though.
