OKAY after some frustration, i think i figured it out. this command saved me

pactl load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:2,1

hw:2 being the device id or something when i use pactl list cards

now to figure out how to change the name

whatever works.

game/chat mix so i don’t have to keep alt tabbing out and adjusting volume
