All you have to do is switch the storage to AHCI mode in BIOS. Windows has to have a special driver for it too in RAID mode, at least as of last time I tried to install it on a dell.

Idk about the lack of repairability, those things are really easy and cheap to fix in my experience. They are at least no less repairable than 95% of laptops on the market.

For showing disk size+usage, you can just go to the “My Computer” tab. It even shows size and usage for networked drives that support it. The rest of your criticisms are pretty valid though.
