Honestly that’s me all the time. I do it for several reasons but I don’t necessarily get crazy enjoyment from it. I don’t hate it either, it’s just not like the best thing ever, y’know? And it’s not my partner, this has been my whole life. My body gets “enjoyment” as in, I can orgasm, but mentally I’m just like, meh.

I know plenty of poor people or people that grew up lower class (including myself and my partner) who didn’t eat fast food every day.

There’s also plenty of rich people (like the orange moron) who very willingly eat fast food regularly.

Any of those people might have alcohol or substance use disorders, which are human conditions, and in no way mean a person is disgusting or undesirable.

And I’d argue that statistically, people who are more careful about their dietary intake, are also probably less likely to have alcohol dependence, but that’s purely an empirical observation, I’ve never checked the data on that.

At my work there is like a 70-year-old security guard who spends his 12-hour days learning new languages. I don’t know how his other languages are, but when he speaks Spanish to me, he does so extremely well. The only issue is that sometimes he gets mixed up and speaks Mandarin instead of Spanish to me but we’re not gonna fault him for that one.

To be fair, the man is a retired physiology professor so he’s been learning his whole life and is probably a pretty smart dude, but I’m sure if you apply yourself and enjoy learning, you wouldn’t have an issue at least getting the basics of another language.

The point he was trying to make is that people that eat McDonald’s every day are unhealthy, and sure, the alcoholism on top of it made everything worse, but do we really think that MCD’s is the only bad choice those people are making?

I was thinking if it’s just a ballot that has a number but it’s not attached to your name. I.e. if the person handing out the ballots gives you a random one and you’re the only one who knows your own number. I’ve never used electric voting machines but maybe a randomly generated number that you can know but nobody else would know?

I understand your point, but colonization never stopped. We’ve been watching it in North American countries through reserves/reservations, residential schools, the continuing child welfare system. Our entire political systems are set up to uphold the ongoing colonization. Israel is just being a lot more obvious about it.

In all seriousness, I’m not sure about your field specifically but most companies will have a ‘career’ section on their website. You can usually browse jobs/apply through there.

There are also job opportunity aggregators like Indeed, Monster (is monster still a thing?), probably other alternatives in your country.

Your school/teachers might also be able to help you network and get in contact with companies, especially if you make a good impression.

Yeah, thanks, it sounds like you’re right since people using other brands don’t seem to have this issue. My partner is extremely particular about this brand of TP though so I guess I’m just gonna have to live with it.
