But yeah, to my knowledge, Neo Forge is just a fork of Forge minus a certain absolute dickhead of a maintainer. Last I used Forge back in like 1.17 ish, forge itself handled most of the rendering, though I never dove too deeply into it

I imagine it’d more be on (Neo)Forge and Fabric’a respective mod loaders. Hopefully mods won’t have to touch rendering systems too much

It’s required, but ask any servers you know how often that actually happens. Last restaurant my friend worked at would carry over tips from previous days in their books so it’d look like they made exactly 7.25 an hour every time. Only reason they got caught is because they always made it exactly 7.25 an hour on those days.

They got a meager fine and were told to pay the money back. They filled for bankruptcy rather than pay out like $4000 in back pay. If you or I had stolen $4000, we’d be in prison. A business does it and it’s a slap on the wrist and a quick bankruptcy and reopening under a new name

You absolutely have to play with mods. I’d recommend doing at least the basics of Viva New Vegas. Sadly NV is old enough now and from that era where compatibility wasn’t quite figured out yet. Thankfully, if you do the basic installation (and likely even the full install), you should be able to play your old save as it doesn’t add any content to the game, just bug fixes and QoL features

The show was just barely before I was old enough to understand half the jokes, let alone it be remotely appropriate for me to watch the show ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Look, I hate these data centers, but the vast, vast majority of them won’t be using residential lines. They’ll be running their own lines in order to not have their traffic be tied up by slow downs during peak hours. And with how expensive and difficult it is to run a model that’s worth the half a fuck the bullshit machines we have now are, an AI server running in every home is not only unlikely, but with how central these big companies want to keep everything, simply not happening. Hell, the vast majority of people who have been forced to use these chat bots in everyday work hate them. Plus, most people barely know how to install apps to their iPad let alone how to run a local server

Edit: also, you need specific computer equipment to run that fast. You can’t just plug in your computer to an Ethernet line and get the full 25 gigs

Honestly, fuck American ISPs, but what on earth would you need 25 gig fiber in your home for? We have a gig line that actually runs at a gig 99% of the time, and I can be downloading a steam game while 3 separate videos are being streamed and I won’t have stuttering. 25 gig sounds cool, but also utterly pointless
