Thanks!
Does Missket connect with Bluesky? Some of my friends moved over there, but I don’t like using Bluesky itself.
I checked out some instances and it seems that most have a really specific user base. Are there more general instances like .world?
Yeah, even in the Randstad, for distances up to like 15 km it’s often faster to cycle somewhere than take public transport.
I’ve trained calisthenics, plyometrics and power yoga at home for years and I’m very happy with the results. Just search on Youtube for advice and workouts you like. Use your common sense: look for people focusing on tried-and-true ideas and don’t use performance enhancing drugs.
My favorite channels are Athlean-X, Calisthenicmovement, The Stone Circle and Breathe and Flow.
Also, get a mirror or film yourself to check your form, or have someone watch you. After a while, you’ll start feeling whether something is right or wrong, but at the start it’s useful to have a visual check.
Here is an example of such a workout: Athlean-X - The Perfect PUSH-UP Workout (3 LEVELS)
StarCraft 2 was the perfect competitive RTS, with the best pro scene. I lived and breathed that game for years. Sucks that Blizzard decided to stop supporting it.
If you like reading older books, check out https://standardebooks.org/. They make nice digital editions of public domain works for free.
I play amateur league soccer and I’ve learned to use the off season as deload periods, otherwise I’ll get overuse injuries. I’l still try keep moving, but I’ll do lighter training or something other than my ordinary training schedule.
Good to know, thanks!
Which Linux distro are you using? I’m considering switching over somewhere this year, but I’m not sure which distro would be best for gaming + regular user stuff.
Can’f you use dumbbells with a neutral grip instead of barbells? Stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFbifMHOXPc
They allow for greater ROM and you can use a heavier one for your healthy wrist.
Tendons and the like are always slow to heal. As long as your PT likes the progress, I.guess you’ll have to wait it out.
Edit: on the other hand, they don’t need to be fully healed to resume training, as long as you’re taking it slowly. You could ask your PT for (alternative) exercises you can already resume doing.
Great work!
One of the main reasons I like using Mastodon for work is the fact that it’s completely separate from the large social networks. It’s only used by people who are committed to creating a new, better place. I don’t think users of Threads (or Xitter, for that matter) would have anything to offer for me.
Can you remove their access to the room where the washing machine is? Mine is in the attic, behind a door and a stair gate, so they couldn’t even come close.
